for EDUCATORS
Educators are integral to Michigan's science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) ecosystem. Expert teachers, conveying the excitement of STEM through interdisciplinary, hands-on inquiry, and problem solving, are our most precious resource. Our region has many outstanding STEM teachers pre-K through college, as well as outside of formal learning environments.
STEM mini-grants
The STEM Mini-Grant Program is to support educators in the teaching and learning of STEM in K-12 classrooms and out-of-school time programs. The emphasis is on stimulating new teaching ideas and new learning opportunities made possible through the creative spark of educators. An additional emphasis is placed on developing community outreach projects in which students and schools work with local business partners and community organizations to solve local problems and develop career awareness, exploration, or preparation.

west michigan PBL network
The West Michigan PBL Network is a group of educators, representing Allegan, Kent, Muskegon and Ottawa Areas, who want to bring industry and relevance into our classrooms. By using Design Thinking and Project Based Learning, we hope to give our students opportunities to solve real challenges and fine-tune their 21st Century Skills. Along with this, our goal is to continue to work together to make each educator better and to help more students become ready for their next steps.
