MSTEM_3P-Learning_in_Michigan.png

One of MiSTEM's pillars, high-quality STEM learning, focuses on 3-P learning, which encompasses problem-based, project-based, and place-based learning. These are student-centered approaches designed to engage learners through experiential learning.

Bootstrap: Algebra 2 learning materials offer a project-based approach where students learn all the programming they need to explore quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, and periodic relationships in data.

Bootstrap: Algebra is a 25-hour curricular module for students ages 12-16, which teaches algebraic and geometric concepts through computer programming.

The Geometry in Construction curriculum offers students a rigorous geometry course that’s integrated with a CTE Construction course. It centers on a capstone project to which all geometry lessons are applied, providing students immediate and real world demonstrations and opportunities to use what they’re learning in their math class.

Algebra I in Manufacturing Processes, Entrepreneurship and Design (AMPED) on Algebra contains all the objectives and standards delivered in a traditional 4-wall Algebra 1 classroom that are taught through real world, project based lessons, labs, and activities creating a richer, more robust learning environment for students.

Prisms is the world’s first spatial learning platform in which students learn core math, science, and everything else through abstracting up from physical human experiences.

Gone Boarding is a cross-curricular, project-based, progressive program that engages students through the design and construction of boards (skate, surf, snow).
